Description
After rewatching Onimonogatari i had the sudden urge to draw something in the style of it´s opening/ending. And since i´m also a bit in a soul eater mood atm, i decided to try drawing maka in that style. I know it´s something completely different to what i normally do, but i greatly enjoy this style. Having abstract anatomy makes it alot less frustrating to draw. May do more in that direction : 3

I 100% agree that sometimes trying to simplify things when drawing is really refreshing. Personally, I had once pursued a super-realistic style, but I didn't do enough studies/it didn't work out for me. But once I decided to relax and simplify, I felt like I had a lot more momentum, lol.
Anyway, the point is that it might be both fun and beneficial for you to try one or two more pieces like this, though you could shoot for something more complex/dynamic for an extra challenge (ex: multiple figures).
